7.19.2004 "Grackle Presents: F for Fake/Tsu Tsu Gamushi"

Tonight's Grackle Mundy took place at Tequila Island, the bar located across the street from the Wiggle Room on South Presa. Directions to Tequila Island.

The night began with the massive sound of Austin's F for Fake. Employing three guitars, pedal steel, bass, drums and two singers, F for Fake played a spirit set of originals capping it all off with a spirited Roky Erikson cover. We had been trying to get F for Fake to play Grackle for a long time. All of us are richer for having seen them perform. Then came Tsu Tsu Gamushi, a dreamy, noisy trio that played improvisational, beautiful instrumentals. Tsu Tsu Gamushi is one of artist's Jason Gonzales' many endeavors, and it interacted well with the ground work that F for Fake made. We were super happy to have them both! Thanks for coming!

Love,
