3.16.2005 "Buttercup @ SXSW" Austin, TX

Dear You,

We had a terrific time at our SXSW showcase. We didn't know what to expect, certainly not Jeff Biesing from Chicago's Dirty Rugs, nor so many other dear friends in the audience. Thanks to you all for coming to support us! (That means you: Brandi, Hills, Elle, Charlie, Craig, Richard, Leslie, Ryan, Dale, Ian, Lexa, Alex, Jennifer, Chris, Rob, Bullet Bob, Gilbert, Jim and others we're probably leaving out.)

We did what we do best, play toy instruments with conviction. I'm sure we're just abouty the only band among the 500+ groups to play their most rocking song on a ukulele. We played with several other interesting bands this night, and managed to see quite a few showcases as we peregrinated the cold Austin night. Unfortunately, the only showcase we really wanted to see, Hilary York, was at the exact same time that we we're playing.
