5.9.2005 "Grackle Mundy: On a Float"
Dear Rider,
It was great riding with you! First off you know how to roll, second you know the score. Together we took our songs for a ride with a spin around the neighborhood on this year's Miss Southtown float. The first ride we played songs by the Kinks; the second was all about Buttercup and summer songs. It was nice to ride around with the wind in our hair and songs in our lungs. Kenji played a nice drum solo to "In Spain" on the second trip.
Afterwards we enjoyed Marcus Rubio's performance, featuring songs of his new CD and new ones not yet recorded. Buttercup (Jamie actually) made excellent sangria, and though our balloons didn't fall quite right, it seemed right.
