1.12.2006 Hilary York CD Release: Continental Club, Austin, TX

Tonight we celebrated the release of Hilary York's record, The Moon. Hilary York's record has a wide range of moods from low, plaintive pleas to unabashed rock. The whole thing hangs beautifuly on her phenomenal voice. This night was extra magical. Hilary was joined by Lisa Newmeyer for four songs, plus one song by Tom Waits. Then Buttercup joined forces with Hilary as her backing band on eight songs. Of course we're biased, but this set was incredible, everything clicking as it should. Finally Buttercup played an extremely fun set of originals as well as a few well-loved covers.
